Peggy Ann Sessions Price, 76, passed away on May 8, 2026, in Ogden, Utah. She was born on December 19, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Sessions Jr. and Erva Elizabeth Smith Sessions.

Peggy’s life was defined by her quiet strength, her work ethic, and unwavering dedication to her family. Professionally, she spent many years as a capable and respected Administrative Assistant and HR Manager, roles where her diligence and care for others truly shined. Her journey took her from the Wasatch Front, California, Seattle, Washington and back again, building a life filled with independence and grace. Peggy also took great care of her mother for many years up until her death in 2020. Peggy was previously married to John A. Price, and though they later divorced they always shared a great love for each other and their animals.

Beyond her professional life, Peggy found peace in the simple beauties of nature. She had a special fondness for all animals especially hummingbirds, often spending quiet moments watching them, mirrored by her own vibrant and resilient spirit.

Nothing brought Peggy more joy than her “fur-family.” She was a devoted companion to her many pets over the years, including Mecca, Missey Sue, Charlie, Sparky, Bella, Maxx, and Herky Bird. Her home was a sanctuary for animals, and she cherished the loyalty and love they provided.

A deeply loving woman, Peggy took immense pride in the successes and happiness of her family. She is survived by her siblings, Karen Kay Johnston (Mark), and William Darrel Sessions. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her nieces and nephews; Jennifer (Mike) Riley, Nicole (Tom) Baker, Melissa (Derek) Koer, Jessica (Curtis) Stewart, Jason (Candice) Sessions, Jaclyn Symonds, and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, William Sessions Jr. and Erva Elizabeth Smith Sessions; her dear sister-in-law, Diane Sessions; ex-husband, John A. Price; brother-in-law, William C. Jory and all her fur babies whom she is now reunited with.

Peggy, may you find yourself in a place of eternal spring, where the hummingbirds never tire and the sun always shines on those you love. May the memory of your laughter be the wind in the trees, and your hardworking hands now rest at ease. Among the hummingbirds and the family you held dear, your love remains with us, forever near.

A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Syracuse Memorial Park, 1250 South 1000 West.  Family and friends are invited to gather and share their favorite memories of Peggy. In honor of her lifelong devotion to her animals, the family suggests donations be made to a local animal rescue or shelter in her name.
