Paulette Mounteer

Paulette Hardcastle Mounteer, 80 years of age, passed away on Thursday, June 13th, 2024.

 Paulette was born June 29, 1943 in Murray, Utah to the late Archie Paul Hardcastle and Mevla Bernice Brimhall Hardcastle. She was the eldest of six children, two preceded in death. Paulette graduated from Jordan High School and then Steven’s Henegar College for bookkeeping.

Paulette married Keith J. Mounteer on August 13, 1964, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Paulette and Keith moved to Rose Park, Utah where they raised their two children; Brian Keith Mounteer and Amy Michelle Mounteer. Paulette had a love of gardening passed down to her from her father. She worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a Master Gardener for more than 25 years. Paulette loved Christmas decorating, she volunteered at the Festival of Trees for more than a decade.

 Paulette is preceded in death by her parents, Archie Paul Hardcastle and Mevla Bernice Brimhall Hardcastle and two brothers Archie “Butch” Hardcastle Jr and Danny Hardcastle. She is survived by her husband (Keith J. Mounteer), two children and their spouses (Brian and Stephanie Mounteer, Amy and Nathan Byrd), her three sisters and their spouses (Gail and Ivan J Klotovich, Linda and Glen Goff, Jody Plummer, and Butch’s wife Gloria Hardcastle), and five grandchildren (Tatum Mounteer, Delaney Byrd, Stockton Mounteer, Maddyx Byrd, Keagan Byrd).

Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12:30 to 1:30pm at the LDS Church House located at 1478 West 2175 South, Woods Cross, Utah 84087 followed by funeral services at 2pm. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
