Paul Puls
WASHINGTON TERRACE a" Paul Puls, 91, passed away February 27, 2012 after a sudden fall in front of his home. Paul was born on April 20, 1920 to Morris and Anna Elcik Puls in Hoboken, New Jersey, which he was never shy of telling anyone he came in contact with. Paul joined the Army and served in WWII as a guard for POW''s detained at the DDO. During this time, he fell in love with and married the love of his life, Lila Jackson, on August 24, 1945. After attending Weber College, he worked as a welder-fitter for Williamsen Body & Equipment and Volvo-White, retiring in 1988. His greatest joy in life was his family. He always spoke with a rough exterior, but always with a twinkle in his eye and a proud heart. He was proud of all their accomplishments.
He was a faithful Jehovah''s Witness, and dearly loved his Kingdom Hall family. Special thanks to his close friends Cliff, Bob and Roy who got him out of the house every week for meetings, service or breakfast. Paul is survived by his wife of 67 years Lila Puls; children, Steven (Debbie) Puls of Syracuse; and Stuart (Dorothy) Puls of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and sister, Anna Hoppe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Morris.
