Patricia “Pat” Farr Lusk

November 9, 1948 ~ August 3, 2022

Patricia “Pat” Farr Lusk passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on August 3, 2022 in Ogden, UT.

Pat was born on November 9, 1948 in Staten Island, New York to Jean Farr-Pierce and Keith Farr. Her family moved to Utah shortly after, where she would grow up and graduate from Ogden High School in 1967.

Pat was married to her first husband, Donald C. Hughes for 18 years and had 4 children.

Pat’s husband, Craig, was the love of her life. They were married on November 19, 1992, and up until the very last moments, Craig still called her his soul mate. They lived for each other and their seven combined children. Pat was a fun, supportive and kind mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was family-oriented and made it to every game, performance and graduation she could. She loved deeply and welcomed everyone into her life with open arms. The Sunday dinner table was set and everyone who sat down was treated as family, whether they were blood relatives or not.

She was outgoing and loved by everyone. She had friends from all different times in her life and she cared about them all immensely.

Pat valued education and was a life-long student, obtaining various degrees while maintaining a career as an Elementary School Teacher. She loved each child that came through her classroom and cared deeply about their happiness and success, just as she did her own children. She became a principal before retiring.

Pat was an actress who loved theatre and performed all through her life until her last production in 2017, Sister Act. She was creative and loved to paint anything crafty. She was always willing to try new things. You could bet on finding her with a book in her free time. She read books of all kinds and shared the joy of reading with others. Road trips included reading a book aloud in place of the radio and gift-wrapped books were given for holidays. She was a great storyteller, narrating enthusiastically and changing voices with each new character. She would sing songs all throughout the house, some of which she made up the words on her own. She passed these tunes along to her family, who can still sing many of them today.

Pat was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Farr-Pierce; and her father, Keith Farr.

She is survived by her four children, Don Hughes, Anne (Chad) Jensen, Tom (Joy Chen) Hughes, and Sarah (Dave) Knight; three bonus daughters, Heather (Ray) Burton, Angie Lusk, and Emily (Mike) Reed; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.
