Patricia Ann Christiansen Perkins returned to her eternal home with our loving Heavenly Father on Christmas morning, December 25, 2025, in Kaysville, Utah. Our beautiful, sweet wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on November 28, 1933, in Thatcher, Utah, to Aaron Wilford Christiansen and Urilla Thorpe, leaving a legacy of love and service that will not be forgotten.
Patricia’s life was characterized by her deep commitment to her family and her community. She always stated her greatest accomplishment in life was being blessed with her seven children. She married her high school sweetheart, Dale Milton Perkins, on August 20, 1952, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They recently celebrated 73 years together; their love story was special and the perfect example of love and devotion to one another. They spent every anniversary bow hunting with the entire family, one of their favorite reunions they looked forward to each year. They attended every special event in the family no matter how far away to support and give their competitive advice. Our family was built around sports, and you could always hear mom in the background stating exactly how she felt about a player or umpire. She was our biggest cheerleader and never missed watching Dale run a race, always pushing us to do our best. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, raising their seven children and nurturing a large family.
Patricia was not only a devoted homemaker but also an accomplished individual, who was smart, creative, witty, an artist, with many diverse interests. She lived a life of service, and was the master of multi-tasking taking care of her family, ward members, and anyone that needed to feel special. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, especially her homemade rolls, and bread, with her raspberry jam, her Christmas candy, and pies. She loved sewing, quilting, crocheting, canning, farming, and gardening. Her gardening skills and hard work canning the fruits of her service were shared by everyone. She loved playing the violin and singing church hymns, with a choir or when she cleaned. Each of these activities was performed with dedication and skill, showcasing her talent and creativity.
Throughout her life, Patricia was actively engaged in her faith, serving in numerous capacities within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She notably served as the Relief Society President four times, Primary President, Activity Committee Chairman, and loved working in the temple, reflecting her commitment to her faith and community service. Additionally, she was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, taking pride in her heritage and the pioneer spirit.
Patricia lived in various places throughout her life, including Thatcher, Garland, Layton, Sunset, Clearfield, El Paso, Lyman, Salt Lake City, Elwood, Nibley, Cove, Washington, and Kaysville. Pat and Dale also served a mission in Samara, Russia. Each location was imbued with her warmth and nurturing presence.
Patricia is survived by her husband Dale Perkins, children: Karie (Mike) Burton, Joseph (Kathy) Perkins, Dave (Wendy) Perkins, Dan (Chris) Perkins, Mary Ann (Dan) Bankhead, and Shane (Talease) Perkins. Her family and legacy expanded to include 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were cherished by her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Urilla Christiansen, sisters, Florence (Jack) Hammer, Arlene (Dick) Hill, and Kathleen (Cal) Whitesides, along with her son, Chadrick Dale (Denece) Perkins, and grandchildren, Joseph Perkins and Heidi Perkins, who have all left behind treasured memories with her.
