Norman Melford Doyle

Born in Oakland, California to Norman Dennis Doyle and Luella Hoge Brown on December 2, 1921, passed away quietly on January 4, 2012.

Norman is survived by his wife, Dona Ruth and four children, Kathleen Clifford (Bob), Karen Meacham Hoffman (Tom), Kerry McKee Gumbrecht (Kurt) and Norman Orrin Doyle (Kim), 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren who loved their Grandpa "Greats" more than anything.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, sister Justine Doyle Mariani, son-in law Gayle Meacham, and grand-daughter Tara McKee.

Dad was a man that was "bigger than life" and experienced life to its fullest. He loved a warm fire, camping & fishing in the mountains, the ocean and "piloting" across the friendly skies. A Navy pilot and veteran of WWII he also served during the Korean Conflict. What he loved most was the time he spent with his beloved Dona and with his family.

His example of integrity, selfless love for Mom, hard work, and love of family will be sorely missed. We love you Dad, thanks for years of wonderful memories, until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
