 Norma Jean Fessler passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

 

The oldest of four children, she was born to LeRoy S. Stuart and T. Lavon Layton Stuart on April 23, 1932.  She attended Davis County schools and graduated from Davis High School in 1950.

 

On January 16, 1952, Norma married E. Gene Fessler, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

 

She worked at Hill Air Force Base for 32 years where she made many lifelong friends, retiring in 1988.

 

She enjoyed camping with family and friends, traveling, quilting, watching and attending sporting events.  She served in many organizations of the church including Relief Society President.  She and her husband, Gene, served a mission in Nauvoo Ill. From 1998 to 1999.

 

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, two brothers-in-law, son-in-law, and two granddaughters.  She is survived by sister, Joan Perry, brother, Larry (Sherma) Stuart, her six children, Kaylin Young, Susie (Terry) Forristall, Debbie (Jerry) Colvell, Stuart (Cindy) Fessler, Doug (Terri) Fessler and Angie (Mike) Sorrells, 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the LDS Chapel located at 350 N. Vine Street Clearfield, Utah. The family will meet with friends Sunday March 20, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

 

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.

 

On behalf of Norma Jean’s family, a special thank you to the entire staff of Barrington Memory Care and the hospice nurses and staff from Bristol hospice for the excellent care and compassion they provided to our mother.
