Norma Louise Bushman Beazer

January 4, 1938 — June 11, 2023

Syracuse

After an incredible 85-year journey, our mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend left this earth, Heaven bound, on June 11, 2023.

Norma Louise Bushman Beazer was born January 4, 1938, to Anna Mary Mikkelsen and Allen Aurther Bushman. She attended Ogden schools including Ben Lomond High School.

In her youth, she was crowned Miss Roller Skating Queen of Utah and always cherished the sparkly diamond ring she won as her prize. Her second prize was meeting Gary Dalton Beazer at the Berthana Roller Rink.

At the young age of 16, she married Gary on September 24, 1954, and together they had four children: Debbie, Ginger, Guy, and Sandi which they raised on their Wagon Wheel encircled land with the most incredibly unique barn in Syracuse.

Our mom loved the great outdoors! She camped, fished, and hunted. She loved to go on rides in the boat, jeep, buggy, and RV. She enjoyed campfires, reading, traveling, and card and dice games, especially if they involved quarters. She treasured the visits from hummingbirds and owls that fluttered and soared in the beautiful boughs of her pines. She was an excellent cook, which made Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve in the barn even more enjoyable.

Mom was a Feisty Spitfire and could out cuss a sailor ~ but after the passing of her handsome Gary, she worked so hard to have their temple work done on November 17, 2010, in the Salt Lake Temple so they could be sealed together forever. We are eternally grateful for that blessed day.

She is survived by her daughter, Ginger (Steven) Johnson; her son, Guy (Colleen) Beazer; sons-in-law: Lynn (Tami) Glauser and Kevin (Jeanette) Porter; her grandchildren: Amy, Misty, Erin, Andrew, Rachael, Rebecca, Hayley, Joshua, Aubrey, Cody, Kendall, Bo, Natalie, Jacob, Tyson, and Kaitlyn; 41 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Mary Malan and Janet Burger; sisters-in-law: Julie and Margaret Bushman; along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mom, Mary; her dad, Allen; stepfather, Levere Holmes; husband, Gary Dalton Beazer; daughters: Debbie Dee Beazer Porter and Sandi Louise Beazer Glauser; great-granddaughter, Kolby Marie Glauser; brother, Riley Bushman, and sister, Margaret Olesen.

While she is leaving many loved ones behind ~ we are certain of the glorious, bright reunion she is experiencing in Heaven.

Alma 40:25 “And then shall the righteous shine forth in the kingdom of God.”

We love you, Mom!

A very special thank you to Ogden Regional Hospital, Cascade Hospice, and especially Raintree Assisted Living for their wonderful care of this precious, tiny, full of grit woman!
