Natalie Hansen

April 14, 1964 — May 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, mother, and sister, Natalie Francene Martinez Hansen, 61, who passed away on May 3, 2025.

Natalie was born on April 14, 1964, in Ogden, Utah, to Louie and Dolores Martinez. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1982, then went on to earn her certification as a medical assistant from Stevens-Henager College. After working as a medical assistant, she worked at Lifetime Products and Sports Molding. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Natalie was the proud mother of two amazing daughters, Stephanie Che’Lynn White, and Hope Hansen. Natalie adored her two girls and poured her heart into raising and loving them. Hope’s most cherished memory will always be the loving and positive texts that she would randomly receive from her mom telling her just how much she was loved and wanted and how special she was. Those incredible messages always seemed to come when Hope needed them most.

Natalie met the love of her life, Mark Glenn Hansen, when they worked together at Sports Molding. They were married on March 17, 1999. Natalie was happiest spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for them. Natalie and Mark loved having family and friends over to watch sports, and the night was always filled with laughter and funny stories.

She was hysterically funny and the best storyteller. Her wit, sass, and sarcasm shown through as she recounted the events going on in her life. She could turn an ordinary conversation into a funny, laugh-out-loud moment, and you never wanted the phone calls to end. She was a strong, courageous, independent woman who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, and that strength and bravery served her well as she overcame life’s challenges.

Natalie gave her whole heart and soul into caring for her loved ones. She was kind, thoughtful, and generous, and a loving caretaker to everyone around her. She took great care of her beloved grandmother, Sarah Herrera (Mom), during her battle with cancer. She also took care of her nephews, nieces and cousins. She went above and beyond just taking care of the children, she made sure they were fed, bathed, and freshly clothed before their parents picked them up. Her thoughtfulness was shown in many ways, but especially by surprising extended family members with a full homemade dinner. She would drop it off to your home with a big, warm hug. We will all miss Natalie’s goodness, wit, and loving heart.

Natalie is survived by her mother, Dolores Martinez; daughter, Hope Hansen (Jonathan Baker); her three sisters, Cindy Lord (Larry), Lisa Stettler (Chris), RaNae Bergenheier (Calvin) and her fur baby, Rex. Natalie is preceded in death by her father, Louie Martinez; her husband, Mark Hansen; and her daughter, Stephanie White.

Private family services will be held with a Catholic funeral mass. Interment will be at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park. Memories and condolences can be sent to the family at www.lindquistmortuary.com.

Natalie would like to extend her heartfelt thank you to her mother, daughter, sisters, and brothers-in-law for their unwavering support throughout her illness. She is especially grateful to her cousin, Tammy Kennedy, for her continuous loving care, homemade meals, and thoughtful attention to the needs of the family. Natalie also thanks her Aunt Marylou for her daily rosaries and uplifting phone calls. In addition, she would like to express her deep appreciation to Dr. Eric Johnson at McKay Dee Hospital Oncology for his exceptional care and compassion, as well as to Utah Facial Plastics and their staff for their generous donation.
