Nancy Lynn Ford

Nancy Lynn Ford, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in her home in Roy, Utah. Nancy was born February 1, 1934, in Lubbock, Texas, a daughter of Edward Earl and Gladys Hollensed Wilson. She married Tom Ford on December 10, 1966, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple. Nancy lived in the Sunset/Roy area for most of her adult life and retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1995 after many years of service. 

Nancy was a member of the Roy LDS 11^th Ward and held numerous callings throughout her life including Young Women’s President, Relief Society President, and in the Sunset Stake Young Women’s Presidency. 

She enjoyed football games, movies, and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nancy had a sweet disposition and was kind to all she met. She was a wonderful example of acceptance and love to her family. 

Surviving are three sons and one daughter, Blaine Monkres (Kim), St George, UT; Mark Monkres, Roy, UT; Shawn Monkres, Las Vegas, NV; Holly Craythorn (Rodrick) Syracuse, UT; and twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Ford, parents, and three siblings.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11:00 am at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South Roy, Utah. Friends may call Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, and Monday morning, October 3 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary.

The interment will be at the Clearfield City Cemetery at 4:30 pm on October 3, 2022.
