Our beloved husband, father, papa, brother, and friend, Myron Lee Jensen, 68, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, after fighting Interstitial Lung Disease for the last 15 years. He was the son of Donald Ray and Verla Tracy Jensen, born on December 17, 1957, in Brigham City, Utah.
Myron made a successful career for himself as a Design Engineer at Chromalox, Inc. in Ogden, where he worked for over 40 years and created multiple patents for the industry.
He married the love of his life, Shellene Gundersen, in November of 1978. They enjoyed 47 happy years together!
In the early years, he loved boating, water and snow skiing, camping, and fishing with his dad and brothers. He enjoyed vacationing with his family, attending boat races with his siblings, his morning cup of coffee, and reading American History books. You could catch him listening to his favorite rock bands or shouting at the TV while watching the Utah Jazz play. Later in life, he spent his time attending dance recitals, reading many stories, and snuggling his grandkids in his favorite chair.
He will be remembered for his calm demeanor, his ability to fix anything, his attention to detail, and his sweet, kind soul. He was a man of few words, but when he did speak up, it was either very factual or incredibly funny.
Myron loved his grandkids dearly and was immensely proud of his two daughters, their careers, and their ability to take care of their families.
Myron is survived by his loving wife, Shellene; children, Makinna (Brian), Ashton (Calvin); and grandchildren, Robert (Dakota), Finnegan, Ruca, Remi, Lucy, Zuri; his twin brother, Byron; sisters, Judy (Doug) and Jody (Mitch); and many other family members.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Austin; his parents, and brothers, Mike and Chris.
We extend our greatest gratitude to Dr. Mary Beth Scholand and the entire team at the University of Utah Hospital for their exceptional care over the past 15 years.
