Myrna was born on May 12, 1940, and passed away at the age of 85 on January 12, 2026. Myrna was born in Tremonton, Utah to parents, Arlin Madsen and Iva Woodruff Madsen. She grew up in the small town of Deweyville, Utah.

She was married to William “Bill” Palmer at the time of her passing, residing in a local retirement community.

Myrna lived in Clinton, Utah, with her family and husband until she retired from the US Postal Service. She spent her later years traveling with Bill, spending winters in Arizona and summers as campground hosts in Utah and Idaho. She loved spending time with family and would often host family gatherings at the campground where she and Bill were hosts. Myrna was also an avid crochet enthusiast and could often be found creating beautiful afghan blankets.

Myrna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she joyfully served in various capacities throughout the years.

Myrna is survived by her husband, Bill Palmer; children, Jeff (Brenda) Black, Connie (Mick) Miller, Kelly (Elizabeth) Black; stepchildren, Randy (Lorrie) Palmer, and Terri Palmer; brothers, JR Madsen and Steve (Sherrie) Madsen; along with family friend Nicole Black; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Myrna will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
