Monte’s Good Bye

Monte was a strong man. He was the best man you could ever know!! He loved and supported anyone in his path. He would give the shirt off his back, sometimes with an attitude or a strong Opinion but was always willing to help no matter what.

He was a husband to Tricia, Dad to his son Ikkin, son to Leona and John Perea. He was a loving brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law uncle, cousin, grandson and had many friends. 

We also want to thank his work family at Superior Grinding & the cancer care team at IMC. 

He never gave up a fight and proved it again on October 26 2021, when we received news he had cancer. November 11, 2021, he attempted to do surgery to remove it, but was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He was given 1 to 3 weeks to live depending on how well he could take the chemo treatments Monte did 19 chemo treatments, had a lot of ups and downs, but never gave up hope. Monte also loved fighting for his country in the U.S. Navy. 

His outside interests included camping, traveling, his Atlanta Falcons, funko pops, Comicon expos and NASCAR. He loved all kinds of things, but his family and friends always came first. 

He lost his battle to the pancreatic cancer on March 11 2023. He will always be missed but never forgotten!! Until we meet again on the beach. 

Who Loves Ya!!!

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday March 25, 2023 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah where friends and family may visit from 9:30-10:45am prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Bountiful City Cemetery
