Mitchell Mignano , 60, passed away on July 14, 2014.  He was born on July 27, 1953 in New York, NY to Ben and Velma Marie Ryan Mignano . He grew up in New York, but spent his life in many different places.

Mitchell had an exceptional career in aviation, taking on a myriad of helicopter jobs. He spent the majority of his career in emergency medical flight operations and as director aviation departments, most recently for the Forest Service.

Mitchell was also a police officer, a karate champion, an Olympic weightlifter, and a skilled mechanic, as well as a re nowned model builder

Mitchell is survived by his son, Mitchell Jr.; brothers, Ben, Frank, Tom, and Eddie; sisters, Debra, Karen, Gisele, Melanie, and Marlene , along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Dahlia.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
