Milton Walker Priest, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away Saturday, February 18, at the age of 88, of causes incident to age.

He was born June 12, 1923, the son of David William and Rhoda Walker Priest. He grew up in Ogden, and attended public schools, graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber College.

While at Ogden High, he met Margie, the love of his life. At the back of the OHS auditorium, on her birthday, February 6, 1942, he proposed to Marjorie Eppley. They were married on his birthday, June 12, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. June 12 was chosen so that Milt would not lose a bet with his friends that he would be married by his birthday. On June 12 of this year, they would have celebrated 70 years together. Born to this union were five children, Janet, Jerry, David, Kevin and Scott.

Shortly after their marriage, Milt was called to serve his country in England during WWII as a Tech Sergeant in the Eighth Army Air Corp.

His life was filled with family, friends, adventure, boating, four-wheeling, a Bear Lake cabin and a St. George condo. The family remembers many wonderful outings and vacations, and he and Margie were able to travel to many places in the world. He was President of his chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers and member of the Board of the National Sons of Utah Pioneers. He loved Weber State athletics and was a member of the Wildcat Club.

He loved the Savior and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many ways, in a Bishopric, as Elders Quorum President, in the Sunday School and Young Men''s organizations. With his wife, he served missions in the Philippines and Indianapolis, Indiana. They also served many years in the Ogden Temple.

Milt is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Janet Johnson; sons, Jerry and Myrth Priest; Kevin Priest; and Scott and Sally Priest; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Peg Larkin; and daughter-in-law, Rese.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; brothers; LaMar and Vae; and sisters, Maud, Melba and Shirley.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
