Mercy Campbell-Porras, 73, of Santa Paula, California passed away on September 10, 2023. She was born on October 11, 1949 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to the late Richard and Mercedes Campbell.
She was a very loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a special fondness for animals, especially her dogs. Throughout her life, she remained an independent and strong-willed woman. She enjoyed traveling the world, and a particular love for the beach.
In Mercy’s professional life, she served as an administrator at Mound Guest Home in Ventura, California. She was a home health aide for Comfort Keepers in Ogden, Utah.
Mercy had a deep passion for spending time with her grandkids and great-granddaughter. She cherished the time she had with each of them, often hosting them on overnight stays filled with love and laughter.
She is survived by her children, Brian Jenkins, Lisa Jenkins-Flowers, and Joseph Gonzales; grandsons, Noah Gonzales, Everett Gerdes, and Kaedan Call; granddaughters, Sadie Flowers, Abigail Flowers-Anderson, and Olivia Call; and her great-granddaughter, Melanie Durrant. She is also survived by brothers, Benny Campbell, Raymond Campbell, Richard Campbell and sisters, Margaret Holloway, Lillian Molina, Jennie Moncada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Porras, brothers, Larry Campbell and David Campbell.
Mercy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her memory will live on through the love and joy she shared with those around her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
