Melissa Wakley

Our beloved Melissa passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Germany on October 22, 1959, graduated from Layton High School in 1977. She earned a degree from Weber State University in 79-80. Melissa retired from HAFB after 12 years of service in 1999.

She was preceded in death by her mother Zena. Surviving are her loving husband of 28 years, Daniel Wakley, father Maurice Kenney, two sisters, Wanda and Karen, and lifelong friend Laura, her six children and 11 grandchildren.

Her strong will and perseverance carried her through life. She made the most of it. Melissa will always be remembered fondly by those who love her, she will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held Monday, November 28, 2011 at 6 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family one hour prior to services.
