Max Rodney Andrews, 84, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at his home.

He was born September 5, 1928 in Logan, Utah the son of Homa William and Lydia Krauss Andrews. He was educated in Logan City schools.

Max served in the United States Army Air Transport Command from December 1945 through 1947. He hired out to the Ogden Union Railroad and Depot Company on September 9, 1949 and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in September of 1989.

On August 10, 1950, Max married Lois Jackson. They have lived in Sunset for the past 55 years.

He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.

Max is survived by his wife, Lois; son, Richard, Salt Lake City; daughter, Renee, Clearfield; grandchildren; and two sister-in-laws, June and Nona Andrews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Scott, and seven siblings.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 19th at 2 p.m. the Providence Cemetery, 950 River Heights, Providence, Utah.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
