Matthew was a dedicated long-haul driver for CR England in recent years, a role that showcased his hardworking nature and commitment to his profession. Before this, he held various manufacturing jobs, demonstrating a versatile skill set throughout his career. He proudly obtained a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), which facilitated his journey as a driver and was a testament to his determination.

Known fondly as "the Fun Uncle," Matthew's personality was a delightful blend of quirkiness, optimism, and patience. He had an infectious spirit, always bringing joy to family gatherings. He was never one to shy away from conversation and was known for staying late to engage with loved ones, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Family was of utmost importance to Matthew, and he loved his nieces and nephews dearly, often expressing this affection through playful banter and genuine interest in their lives.

Matthew's interests were as colorful as his personality. He had a particular fondness for cars, especially the clunkier models that many would overlook. As a big fan of the Fast and Furious saga, he admired the thrill of high-speed adventures. He was a passionate foodie who found joy in home-cooked meals, often relishing leftovers with the same enthusiasm as freshly prepared dishes.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 at 1 p.m. Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
