WASHINGTON TERRACE - Mary Kathleen Votaw Thompson "Tommie", 85, died Saturday, May 5, 2007 and her husband, Warren Glen Thompson, 86, died Sunday, May 6, 2007, both at Washington Terrace Health Services.

Tommie was born July 7, 1921 in Boyce, Louisiana, a daughter of Clark M. and Addie Rene Rougeou Votaw. She had one sister, Julia Fay Cross (deceased). She was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for 40 years, and held a number of offices in the Utah State Nurse Anesthetist Association.

Warren was born July 26, 1920 in Scipio, Utah, a son of Marion Glen and Sylvia Ann Petersen Thompson. He had one brother, William C. Thompson and one sister, Paulene Frampton, (deceased). He served with the U.S. Army for four years, two of those years in Africa and Italy. He was an operating engineer for 30 years. He was also a member of the Eagles, Elks, and American Legion.

They were married in 1945 at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Denver, Colorado. They both enjoyed golfing and fishing. Dad enjoyed hunting in his earlier years. They retired in 1982 and became snowbirds in 1984. They traveled and lived in various places in an RV for 18 years. They resided in the Ogden area at the time of their deaths.

They lived, loved, and laughed together for 62 years, and in the end they passed within hours of each other. We couldn''t ask for better angels.

They are survived by daughters, Kay Thompson and Cheryl (Mark) Omer, and son Michael Warren (Renee) Thompson; two granddaughters, Shera Omer and Samantha Larsen, all of the Ogden area.

The family expresses special thanks to Dr. William Norris, Dr. Susan Hustad and staff, and all of Vista Care personnel, especially Mindi, Haley, Bridgett and Nick.
