Mary Carlene Hock Kipp

Mary Carlene Hock Kipp, passed away on May 27, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy nursing home in Guilderland, New York. She was born on October 2, 1949 in Ogden, Utah to Stephen John and Mary Anderson Hock.  She grew up in Wyoming and Utah.  She attended schools for the blind in Ogden and Arkansas.

Carlene married James Kipp and moved to Albany, New York.  They later divorced.  Carlene stayed in Albany and worked for the State of New York, retiring after 30 years.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Sexton and nieces, MaryJo Thompson and Paula (Jason) Vaughn and nephew, Wade (Jennifer) Thompson and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clark Andrew Hock; and one sister, Marilyn Hock Clarke.

The family expresses their appreciation to Our Lady of Mercy nursing home and a very special thanks to Susan Nixon, Carlene’s special guardian angel.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.  Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
