Martha Bray passed away peacefully in her home in Clearfield, Utah, on February 7, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born in Hamlin, Texas on January 23, 1937 to Ira and Clarice Butler Sr. She lived in Hamlin until she was 25 years old. She married the love of her life Roy L. Bray Sr. on June 17, 1961 in Texas. They lived in Louisiana for a short time, then moved to Montana until 1976 when they moved to Utah.
Martha's spirit was enveloped in warmth and laughter. She cherished her passions, which included bowling, camping, and being a remarkable pitcher, always uplifting others around her with her infectious smile and gentle humor. Her love for life was evident in everything she did, and she truly enjoyed every moment spent with her family, creating memories that will be forever cherished.
As a devoted member of the Layton Hills Baptist Church, Martha took great pride in running the kitchen, nurturing her community with her culinary talents. Her kind-hearted nature extended beyond her immediate family to those she engaged with daily, embodying compassion and genuineness.
She is survived by her children; Gordon A. Bray, Clearfield, UT., Patricia (Lee) MacPeek, Clearfield, UT., Dorothy L. Bray (Kip), Malad, ID., four wonderful grandsons; Matthew (Debbie) MacPeek, Lovell, WY., Steve (Dani) Jones, Clinton, UT., Joshua (Genesis) Jones, Roy, UT., Daniel MacPeek, Clearfield, UT., and 10 awesome grandchildren.
