Marshall “Marsh” Leonard Hannon IV, born on June 14, 1990, in Burbank, California, and later calling Utah and Arizona home, is a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brings joy and light to everyone around him.
Marsh is the cherished son of Marshall “Mickey” Hannon and Vicki Hepworth (with her husband Brad Hepworth). He is the proud brother of Meagan, Michael, M’Kayla (with her husband Mark), and Molly (with her fiancé Isaac). He is the fun, loving uncle to Maddy, Cohen, Lennon, and Mila—who all adore every moment spent with him. Being their uncle was one of his greatest joys; whether it was playing games, strumming the guitar while they danced, drawing pictures with them, or simply showering them with love, he made each child feel uniquely special and deeply cherished. They will always carry his laughter, kindness, and playful spirit with them.
Marsh works at La Mesa RV in Phoenix, Arizona, as a lot porter, where he is known for his unmatched work ethic, dependability, and his ability to brighten everyone’s day. No matter what he does, Marsh puts in 100% and would give the shirt off his back to help someone else.
Marsh was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While he was not active in the church later in life, the values of love, kindness, and service he carried with him reflected the best of his faith and the goodness of his soul.
A gifted self-taught musician, Marsh had a deep passion for the guitar, singing, and songwriting. Music was one of the ways he poured love into the world, whether strumming his guitar for his nieces and nephews to dance around, or sharing a song with friends and family. Music was one of Marsh’s greatest passions. He poured his heart into his band, Good Morning Revenge, and loved playing with them and performing for people at shows. Sharing music was one of the ways he connected with others and spread joy.
He also loved cooking for the people he cared about, especially gathering everyone together to enjoy “Papa’s pizza,” which became a family favorite. In addition, Marsh had a creative soul that shone through in his love for art and drawing, another way he expressed his heart and imagination. He cherished family card games, pool time, and making memories filled with laughter and play.
Marsh also had a lifelong passion for animals, and animals loved him just as much in return. His dogs, Defeater and Blackjack, held a special place in his heart, and the bond they shared was full of loyalty, joy, and love.
Marsh was also a true sports fan at heart. He had a lifelong love for the LA Lakers and admired Kobe Bryant not just as a player, but as an inspiration. He was also a proud fan of the LA Dodgers, always cheering them on with excitement and loyalty.
What stands out most about Marsh is his heart. He had the rare ability to make every person he met feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family make him unforgettable. He is, simply put, one of the best souls and brightest lights this world has to offer. He will be deeply missed, but his love, laughter, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Marsh will be greeted with open arms and paws by his family and furry friends who have gone before him.
