July 9, 1933 — July 28, 2025

Marlene P. Roueché, 92, our adored mother, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 28, 2025 at her home in Kaysville, Utah from the effects of dementia. She was born June 9, 1933 in Riverside, Idaho, the daughter of Frank William Polatis and Othella May Parks and was the fourth child of seven children. She was her immediate family’s last surviving member.

She married Marion J. Roueche’ on May 19, 1960, in the Idaho Falls Temple and considered him the best man she ever knew.

Marlene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings, including serving as a missionary to the East German Mission. She had an unwavering testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Marlene retired from Barnes Banking Company as Customer Service Manager after 22 years of service. She enjoyed her retirement years with her children and grandchildren. They were the joy of her life. She and Marion loved working in their yard and she especially liked riding her lawnmower.

Marlene is survived by her children: Michelle R. (Stephen) Chipman (Tustin, California), Clark Marion (Trena) Roueché (Plain City, Utah), Marilei Roueché (Kaysville, Utah) and Candis (Paul) Thompson, (Layton, Utah), 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
