PLEASANT HILL, CA - Marilyn passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2012. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Amie Barber and grandson Justin Pace of Tualatin, OR; niece Andrea (Trevor) Earl of Ogden, UT and nephew Tyler (Shannon) Ford of Harrisville, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bryce.

Marilyn was born to Albert and Mary Claypool Ford in Ogden, UT and graduated in 1966 from Roy High School. She married Paul Barber in 1968 and they were later divorced. After moving to Southern California in 1979, Marilyn developed a home decorating business and worked in the mortgage industry until 2010 in Pleasant Hill. Her greatest interest was horses, especially her immense pleasure during the years of participation in the world of Arabian Horses. In addition to shopping and great parties, she loved gardening and needlework.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
