Maria Isabel Gutierrez passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her husband and kids, on August 26th, 2025. Maria, who preferred to go by Isabel or Isa, was born August 31st,1974, in Villa de Saragosa, San Luis Potosi. She was the daughter to her loving parents Columba Hernandez and Luiz Juarez. A beloved sister to her siblings Yolanda Juarez Hernandez, Amelia Juarez Hernandez, Luis Antonio Juarez Hernandez, Martin Juarez Hernandez, Maria Angelica Juarez Hernandez, and Jose Luis Juarez Hernandez, as well as a sibling who passed away before he could be named.
Isabel dedicated her life to improving the life of everyone around her. Her passion was working with kids in early childcare development. She worked as a teacher, a daycare instructor, even in her own home, but her most rewarding job came in the form of being a wonderful mother to her three kids and eventual grandmother to her grandson.
She is survived by her husband and partner of 33 years Jesus Israel Gutierrez Martinez. She is also survived by her two sons and her daughter Luis Mauricio Gutierrez, Jesus Israel Gutierrez, and Jessica Elizabeth Van De Brake. She lives on as an angel in the life of her Grandson Levi Merrick Van De Brake.

A viewing for Isa will be held on Thursday, August 28th, 2025 at the Roy Lindquist Mortuary 3333 W 5600 S, Roy, UT 84067 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. At 7:00 PM we will be doing a rosary in the honor of Isa to help guide her in the arms of the lord. Given her cancer diagnosis, we ask those to please wear purple to support others who are currently in a similar situation because Isa was selfless and worried about others more than herself. She was an amazing woman and has touched countless people’s hearts.
A mass in her honor will be held at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 4050 S 3900 W, West Haven, UT 84401 on Friday, August 29th, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
Following the mass, graveside services will be held at Clinton City Cemetery located at 750 W 800 N, Clinton, UT 84015.
