Marguarite Louise Lamb

Aug 23, 1928 – May 11, 2016

Louise passed peacefully to her Heavenly Father after a short bout with pneumonia.

She is survived by sons Edward H Lamb (Sandy Utah) and Robert B Lamb (Syracuse Utah), daughters Catherin L Lamb (Cedar City Utah) and Laurie M Lamb, Las Vegas, NV; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and sister Dorothy Hiatt.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Heber B Lamb, and brother Adrian J Ryan.

Louise was born in Missoula Montana on Aug 23, 1928 to Vincent Edmond Ryan and Marge Judd.  As a young girl she lived with her parents in Creede Colorado, Douglas and Kingman Arizona, Jackson Hole Wyoming, and Provo Utah.

Louise met the love of her life, Burnell, while attending Dixie State College.  They married at the St George Temple Aug 23, 1949.  A year later, Burnell was drafted to the Korean War for two years.  After Burnell returned home, they attended school at Utah State and BYU.

They eventually made their home in Henderson Nevada where Louise raised her children and also worked part time as a substitute teacher.  After her husband passed away, she lived with her son in Syracuse Utah.

Sister Lamb was very active in the LDS church and served in many callings.  She loved to reach out and serve any that she thought was in need. She was a recipient of the Boy Scout Silver Fan award.  She also served as a full-time missionary with her husband in the Montreal Quebec Mission and Switzerland Swiss Temple Mission, and served as a temple worker at the Las Vegas Temple.  She was a wonderful mother and a good example to all.  We will miss her until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Whisperwood Ward, 2700 South 1000 West, Syracuse, Utah.  Friends may visit family Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.

There will be a graveside service held May 17, 2016 at 9:20 PST at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City Nevada (1900 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City, NV 89005).  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the LDS temple fund.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
