Marcia Lee Montag

Marcia Lee Montag, age 78, passed away June 1, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. Marcia was born in Logan, Utah to Cleon Lee and Inez Elaine Campbell on September 23, 1945.

She attended Clearfield High School and graduated on May 24, 1963.

She married her sweetheart Jon Ellis Perry on July 23, 1963 and together, they had four children: Wendy Lee, Sandy Lynn, Michael Jon, and Michelle Jill.

Marcia was a talented painter and loved working with pottery. She created many beautiful pieces that she shared with others. Her love of nature was evident in all her works.

Marcia was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She joyfully served the Lord in many capacities including Relief Society and Primary. She loved to attend the temple. Her greatest joy was caring for her family. She taught her children the value of hard work and selfless service by her example.

After her marriage to Jon ended, Marcia married Richard Montag. Between Richard and Marcia, they have many grand-chidren and great-grand-children. She loved each one of them and was always so excited for each new addition to the family. She took great effort to remember birthdays and special occasions like plays, sporting events, missions and weddings.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Cleon and Inez Lee; her brother Edward Lee; her first husband, Jon Perry, and her second husband, Richard Montag.

She is survived by her siblings, Patricia Lee (wife of Edward), Sharon Lee Weaver, Barbara Lee Cox (Keith), Elaine Lee Jordan. She is also survived by her children and step-children.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cedarhurst Memory Care of Springfield, MO for their loving and professional care. Marcia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Lindquist Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S., Roy, UT. Friends may visit with the family Friday, June 7 at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary.

Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.
