ROY a€" Lynn Ray Mayberry, 77, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at home from Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born June 2, 1934 in Ogden, a son of Charles Richard and LaReta Stokes Mayberry. Lynn married Deon Poulsen in Elko, Nevada on February 23, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. After his first wife Deon passed, Lynn married Lyudmyla Tykhonivna Voloshanovska in the Ogden LDS Temple on April 22, 2003.

He was reared and educated in Ogden, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Weber State University in June of 1967. Lynn served in the military in Korea from July of 1951 to1955 and remained in the reserves being honorably discharged June of 1960. Lynn was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions, most recently, in the Roy Pheasant Run Ward. Lynn and his wife Deon served an LDS Mission to New Zealand from 1986 to 1988. Lynn was the owner and administrator of several assisted living facilities in the Ogden area and co-owner of Mayberry Gardens assisted living facilities in Dallas, Texas. Lynn had a zest for life and shaped those he interacted with. After his first wife Deon passed away, he immersed himself into the role of father and grandfather focusing on fulfilling this function to the fullest. Lynn loved the time he spent with his family. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be lovingly remembered by them. The family would like to thank Inspiration Hospice and his nurse Diane in particular for the excellent care they provided.

Surviving are his wife Lyudmyla, Roy; two sons and one daughter, Kevin (Lisa) Mayberry, Orem; Scott (Pam) Mayberry, Garland, Texas; and Jan (Don) Modesitt, North Ogden; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean and Elaine.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Deon Poulsen Mayberry; and brothers, Rex and Glen Mayberry.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
