Lucy Jean Roberts

Lucy Jean Roberts’ beloved mother to 6 boys, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at the age of 72. Born in Ramond, Washington on December 15, 1952, to Wilbur Wayne Butterfield and Lenora Ellen (Owen) Chapman and at 8 years old she was adopted by Lester and Veda Roberts. She was known for her funny sense of humor and jokes, always told it like it was.

Lucy graduated from Bear Lake High School. She chose to be a stay-at-home mother and take care of her boys. She was everyone’s fun aunt, and she delighted in the outdoors. She loved to camp, play sports, plants, movies but had a favorite, Independence Day, and she loved stuffed animals – Koala Bears were her favorite. She enjoyed working with ceramics, placing them in the kiln, and painting them.

Lucy is survived by sons, Wayne, Michael and Greg Roberts; granddaughters, Leslie, Zoey, Samantha, Isebelle, and Jessica; grandsons, Curtis, Dilan, Nikolas, Nathan, Mason, Dustin, Randy Jr., and Josh; great-grandkids, Opal, Onyx, Oli, Walker, Mia, Brooks, Bowen, Remi, Ruger, Jolisa, Oaklee and Brantlee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lynn Roberts; sons, Les, Randy, and Paul; parents, Lester and Veda Roberts; brothers, Bill, Bob, Richard, Dwayne, Gary, and Chris; and sisters, Rena and Ellen.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W 5600 S Roy, Utah. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
