Together again

LouElla Lewis Durrant joined her loving husband in heaven on September 2, 2021.

LouElla was born in Porterville, Utah on September 13, 1940 to John Dorel And Laura Fry Lewis.

She attended school in Morgan, Utah until she was swept off her feet by Dee Phillips Durrant in 1956.

They settled in Kaysville, Utah and were members of The Church of Latter-day Saints. They were sealed in the Ogden Temple.

Homemaker seemed to be her calling as they raised their booming family of girls, later moving to Layton, Utah.

She worked for Davis School District as a school lunch manager after her children were older, then retiring to spend her later years with her husband. They lived in Roy and later Syracuse.

They served in the Covington, Virginia Mission. They spent time traveling and enjoying life as it came. Eventually those times were gone and she lost the love of her life in 2015. Since then she has been awaiting their reunion.

She is survived by Cindy Wheelwright (Keith), Kathy Fults (Jim), Vickie Reid, Matt Roberts, Michelle Durrant, 13 Grandchildren, and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Sister Ruth Ann Angeli and brothers John Thomas Lewis and Derwood William Lewis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dee Durrant, Ruby Denise Durrant, Johnny Dee Durrant, Brady Trevor King, Bailie McKae Erwin, Grayson Robert Lee and Ken Reid.

Thanks to Hidden Valley Assisted Living Center for the care and kindness they showed our mother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Masks are encouraged.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
