Lorraine S. Allred, 89, passed away on December 20, 2025. Born in Salina, Utah, to Grant Davidson and Lorraine Scribner, she lived a life defined by love, friendship, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith.
On April 3, 1955, Lorraine married her sweetheart William “Dale” Allred in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple. Together, they built a home that was always open to others, offering comfort, support, and unconditional love to anyone who needed it.
Lorraine attended beauty college in Hollywood, California, and spent many years as a gifted hairdresser. She later co‑owned The Hair Benders, where her creativity, warmth, and genuine care for others made her beloved by clients and coworkers alike. Her salon chair was a place where people felt seen, heard, and uplifted.
Lorraine made friends easily and had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. Wherever she went, she either made a new friend or ran into someone she already knew. Family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Lorraine was also a twin, a bond she treasured deeply.
She is survived by her children Mike Allred, Kerry Allred (Malynda), and Sandy Hodson (Brett); ten grandchildren—Christopher, Ryan, Jellair, Danielle, Andrew, Nikki, Kelly, Jordan, Hallie, and Alexis; sixteen great‑grandchildren; and one great‑great‑granddaughter. She was truly in her element with Her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William (Dale) Allred, her twin Lorretta Neilson, her business partner and best friend Millie Lupica, and many dear relatives and friends.
Lorraine will be remembered as a strong woman who loved unconditionally, welcomed others without hesitation, and built a life rich in friendship and family. She truly loved everyone.
Lorraine and Loretta took care of Dale for many years as he suffered from Alzheimer’s.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many nurses and aides who cared for Lorraine during her 11 years at Rocky Mountain Care. Their kindness and dedication brought great comfort.
