Lori Penman

Lori was unexpectedly called home to the angels in Heaven on July 3, 2025. She was born on August 27, 1963 to Kent and Margaret Mitchell. She was raised in Woods Cross, UT along with her brother Larry and sisters Monica and Marsha. She married the love of her life, Mark, in 2004.

Lori was kind, caring and giving. She had the biggest heart and was very empathetic and understanding. She always wanted to help everyone she could – letting people seek solace in her house, bringing meals to people who were hungry or going through something hard – She tried to take care of everyone, especially people who were down on their luck. She would often meet new people while traveling and have them over for Thanksgiving and other holidays and parties.

Lori wasn’t just the life of the party; she WAS the party. She LOVED going out dancing, going to concerts, singing karaoke, golfing, floating in the river, camping and having the best day ever! If there was any fun to be had, Lori was making sure she was having it! She was a hippie girl at heart. She loved tie-dye and everything purple.

Her grandkids were a huge light in her life. She loved spending time watching and taking care of them and spending as much time as she could with them. Getting together with family was so important to her. She was so proud of her family and couldn’t wait to excitedly show them off to anyone she met.

Lori was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark Penman, her mother, Margaret Mitchell, her brother, Larry Mitchell, her adopted son Kris Bagley, and her nephew, Lance Moyes. She is survived by her father – Kent Mitchell, her sisters – Monica Gleed (Darren) and Marsha Cardenas (Diego), her daughters – Jen Collins (Alex), Crystal Burrows, Ashley Burrows and Nichole Penman, her sons – Mike Penman (Nicole) and Rich Penman (Kate), her grandchildren – William, Lily, Avery, Zulon, Zemeriah, Ryder, Zeke, Anthony, Waylon, Remington, and Thomas, her nephews – Jacoby, Lane, Gavin, Cord, her niece – Phoebe and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life and birthday party for Lori will be held on August 24, 2025 at the Bountiful Park on 200 W and 400 N from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
