Lois Hart Woodward

South Ogden–Lois Hart Woodward, 87, slipped away from mortal life suddenly on Monday, November 28, 2022. She was a loving and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother (affectionately known as Grandma Lulu).

Lois was born on March 16, 1935, in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Wilford Clyde Hart and Margaret Hocking.

On September 24, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart Lynn Woodward, in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple.

Mom was the most caring, loving and devoted person. She was a friend to everyone she met. After Dad’s passing she moved to a neighborhood where she served and loved many dear friends. She was always thinking of others. Monday nights were dedicated to cards and friends without exception!

Later in life she found a love for working at the ZCMI candy counter where her grandchildren frequently came to visit for more than just candy. She loved the time spent at ZCMI.

She had her own way of doing things. She had a carefree attitude, fun and sometimes mischievous personality. Her circle of life was her family. We will miss her dearly and will love her eternally.

Lois is survived by her children, Lynnette (Steve) Welker, Diane (Bruce) Jardine, Craig (Vicki) Woodward, Charles (Lynn) Woodward, along with nine grandchildren Ryan, Collin, Candice, Lyndsey, Tucker, Jenna, Cody, Tess and Gage and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Lynn and Lulu her beloved dog.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Burch Creek 3rd Ward, 5161 South 1300 East, South Ogden Utah. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Corinne City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
