Listen to Obituary

Logan Keyonnie Chee, age 20, passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2026, in Layton, Utah. He was born on March 14, 2005, in Millcreek, Utah. Logan was a preemie, born at 34 weeks, and spent his first two weeks of life in the NICU at St. Mark’s Hospital. His feisty and determined nature was well known among the nurses, and it stayed with him throughout his short life.

Logan is survived by his loving parents, stepparents, grandparents, brothers, cousins, two family cats, and many friends. He is preceded in death by two of his grandmothers.

He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Logan graduated from Layton High School with the Class of 2023. Although high school wasn’t his favorite subject, his teachers knew him to be a kind, smart, and well-read student. He was a member of the school choir and the Davis School District Native American Educational Program.

After working multiple summer seasons at Lagoon, starting at the age of 15, he was promoted to grounds supervisor. Logan was also selected for, and completed, Lagoon’s E.L.I.T.E Leadership Training program. He had a strong work ethic and thrived in situations where he had an opportunity to mentor others. Many who knew him appreciated his kind and unique ability to lead a wide range of talents and abilities, others knew him as feisty and determined. After leaving Lagoon, he held a few other jobs.

Logan loved music, the outdoors, camping, hunting, video games, guns, motorcycles, studying history, riding ATV’s, his family, and a good debate. He also had a great love of cats, and he anxiously awaited the day when he could get his own cat.

To know Logan was to love him. His family and friends are devastated by his sudden and unexpected passing. The joy, happiness, love, intensity, and humor he brought into this world is irreplaceable. Glorious will be the day when we are all reunited.

I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.
