Lloyd Donald "Don" Isbell

Lloyd Donald Isbell, beloved father, and grandfather, died on April 4, 2023, at The Ridge Senior Living in Salt Lake City, Utah.

 

Born in Tracy, California on December 25, 1932, to Loren and Rena Isbell. He attended Tracy schools and started his career in sales. He moved to Honolulu, Hawaii with the Britannica Encyclopedia Company, where he managed the Pacific Island region for many years. He was a great salesman, manager, and friend to all he worked with. He received many awards and accolades for his hard work. He was very generous to his family, friends, and strangers alike.

 

He and his wife, Kathy Beamon Isbell, moved to Reno, Nevada after he retired and spent many years in the area. Kathy and Don were married for over 24 years. Don moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2017 to be closer to family.

 

Don is survived by 4 children, Terry (Sam) Johnstun, Kelly (Tim) Wright, Elaine Isbell (her son, Nick Papadakis), and Jeff (Kim) Isbell. He has 14 other grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy (1999), his son, Brian Craig Graham; grandsons, Brad and Curtis Wright; great-great granddaughter, Lydia Marie Johnstun; parents, Loren and Rena Isbell; sisters, Janice (Milton) Birkhahn, and Marlene (Gary) Herbst.

 

At his request, no formal services will be held. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary, 869 South 2000 West, Syracuse, Utah 84075.
