Linda Maria Hartsgrove (née Christman), 74, of Washington Terrace, UT, passed away on February 13, 2026. Linda was born in Massachusetts to Henry and Mary Lou Christman on September 29, 1951.

She met George Hartsgrove in high school, and they married on October 18, 1970. They later moved to California to begin their own family and adventures.

Linda became a paraeducator and worked at Padan Elementary before spending over two decades at Will C. Wood High School. She was affectionately known as Mrs. H and frequently went above and beyond for her students. Nothing made Linda happier than seeing her students succeed, especially when she met them later in life and learned all they had accomplished beyond the classroom.

If Linda wasn’t at school or with her family, she could be found around town with her people. She might be gathered around the kitchen table, feeding anyone down on their luck with her cooking, or at bingo with her “forevers,” the friends she made throughout her life who stayed by her side through it all. Beyond striking it lucky at bingo, they loved a good fundraiser crab feed or taking quick trips to the ocean. Linda believed that a good talk in front of the waves could help just about anything.

Her family and forevers continued to support her as she retired from her career, faced two battles with cancer, and lost her husband to his own medical challenges. She eventually moved to Utah to live with one of her sons and his family.

In her later years, she spent her time traveling, being the treat princess to several pampered pups, and making lasting memories with her family. Linda, Grandma, Mrs. H, will be forever missed.

Linda is survived by her children, Jonathan, Tamara, George, and Jena; her grandchildren, Alexis, Jordan, and Coby; siblings, Andrea Christman, Clint Christman, and Cindy (Ron) Bradford; her nieces and nephews, Ava and Noah Christman, and Ron Jr. and Adam Bradford; her aunt, Pat Melim; as well as many beloved extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Linda did not want a service and asked instead that she be remembered by offering support to someone in need. Thank you for remembering her with us.

Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
