Lester LeRoy Wells

SYRACUSE a€" Lester LeRoy Wells, 83, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at his home.

He was born October 15, 1928 in Willard, Utah the son of LeRoy Theodore Wells and Buell Taylor Wells.

Lester married Betty Rampton on August 25, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on August 26, 1997.

He worked at the Utah Defense Depot and retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1979. Lester owned and operated Wells Transmission Business for over 35 years.

Lester was a member of the LDS Church and served as a High Priest and home teacher.

He loved cars, buying all kinds of tools, and enjoyed fishing. Lester''s favorite pastime was watching his old John Wayne and Andy Griffith movies and listening to his Frank Sinatra music.

Surviving are his sons, Kelly Royal Wells, Roy; Douglas LeRoy Wells, Syracuse; Brent Carson Wells, Syracuse; Darrin Byron (Michelle) Wells, Syracuse; daughters, Judy (Garth) White, Slaterville; Sally Wells, (Chimane) St. George; Connie (Robert) Sweat, Syracuse; Angela (Roberto) De Giorgio, Syracuse; 21 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and sister, Berneil (Frank) Billings.

Preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents, son, David Bryan Wells, brother, Eddie Wells and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 11 a.m. at the Syracuse Stake Center, 1350 So. 1800 W., Syracuse. Friends may visit family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
