Dean Krumperman
Leslie Dean Krumperman, born in Ogden on April 3, 1923, passed away on Christmas Day in his home surrounded by his adoring family. Dean was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He graduated from Ogden High School then joined the United States Marine Corps and was an Iwo Jima WWII veteran. He worked at HAFB and retired in 1976. Dean thoroughly loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler, golfer, cross country skier, and Jazz fan. During his retirement, he had many interests by becoming his daughter’s softball teams coach, became a master wood craftsman and was always a perfectionist in his garden and yard. Dean was always helping, was everyone’s “go to plumber fix it guy”. He had a wonderful sense of humor, which he carried to his passing.
Dean is survived by his wonderful wife of 65 years, Donna Baker Krumperman; sons, Scott (Sandy) Krumperman, Larry (JoAnn) Krumperman; daughter, Leslee (John) Davison; grandchildren, Lauren Krumperman, Hollee (Russ) Vance, Alex and Chastin Davison; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Damian, Cody, Grem, Raimie, Gavin, and Ruston; brother, Bob (Adele) Krumperman; and nieces and nephews.
Thanks to the staff of Hearts for Home and Hospice. A special thanks to nurse Cage for being an angel.
Per Dean’s wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Ogden Food Bank. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
