KAYSVILLE a€" Leslie James Ford, 87, of Kaysville, Utah passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. He was born on February 20, 1925 in Rifle, Colorado to Samuel Leslie Ford and Annie Louise Outhouse. Leslie was the eighth of ten children. Leslie Graduated from Roy High School in Roy, New Mexico. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Leslie is survived by the love of his life, Ruth Harrison Ford. They were married on March 26, 1945 in East Los Angeles, California. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the St. George temple on July 13, 1948.

They were blessed to have four children, Jeanne (Melvin) Peel, Sharon Allred, Vicki (Mark) Wisniewski, Loren (deceased) (Julie) Ford. He also leaves behind his siblings, Elsie Halvorson, Eugene Ford, Ralph Ford, 18 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. He was a devoted father and grandfather, who dedicated his life to serving his family and the Lord. Leslie was preceded in death by his son Loren, his parents, and six of his siblings.

He retired as a Senior Purchasing Agent for Union Oil Company after 35 years. He was committed to family history and genealogy. He also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals, especially in The Music Man. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Leslie faithfully served in many leadership positions, including bishoprics and high councils.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Chapel, 1039 E. Crestwood Road, Kaysville, UT. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
