Leon Blaine Stone passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 in Washington. He was born to Lorin C. and Bernice Straus Stone on September 17, 1943 in Ogden. He grew up in Hooper. Leon graduated from Weber High School and then went to live in Canada and Washington. He married Jeanene Weaver, Pat Kelly, and Nadine DeGoier, just not all at the same time.

He was a military aircraft mechanic and loved working on airplanes. Leon spent many hours fishing, building his own hot rods, and going to the drag races. He took pleasure in riding motorcycles, collecting coins and "bootin around". He enjoyed the ocean and the mountains. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Dad was a free spirit and he will be greatly missed.

Leon is survived by his son, Brandon (Shaela), Lewiston, Utah; daughters, StacyAnn Stone, Ogden and Sharlun Stone, Sunset; nine grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael (Helen) Stone, Hooper; and sisters, Kay Self and Diana (Jim) Duffield, Roy; and Leslie Byrum, Hooper. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
