Lee Marie Longaker 77, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, in her Syracuse home after a long battle with kidney disease. Lee was born and raised in the sunshine of San Diego California, July 9. 1948, to loving parents Carl and Marian Wagoner. Lee was the oldest of five siblings to whom she loved very dearly.
Being a California girl, she loved bodysurfing the waves, camping at the beach, laying in the warm sand, and collecting shells with her sisters. Lee loved and played many sports. Her favorites were softball, where she was a pitcher, and soccer, where she played goalie in a women's league. She never let a ball past her. She loved camping and fishing at Pineview and Strawberry reservoirs, where she could catch the biggest fish in the lake. Lee’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved spending time with them and supported them in any way she could and would do anything for them.
Her thoughtfulness and kind deeds were an example to all those around her. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she loved to serve others. She was the most kind and loving person, who endured many trials in her life and stayed strong and faithful. Lee was married to Edward Hinds, and they had five beautiful children together. They later divorced and she married Robert Longaker.
She worked at Sunset Jr. High for many years and coached volleyball with her daughter Tara. She retired from MEPS United States Military Entrance Command, Department of the Army.
Lee is survived by her five children, Erik (Kerri) Hinds, Chad (Coni) Hinds, Tara (Tyler) Hamblin, Ryan (Mindy) Hinds, and Todd Hinds (Danielle Valdez). 13 wonderful grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, as well as twin sisters Lorna and Laurie, and sister-in-law Wendy Wagoner. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Marian Wagoner, and her brothers Mark and Walter Wagoner.
We would like to thank her caring doctors and the nurses of Dr. Tyler Dixon and Dr. Ryan McDonald at Tanner Clinic and Primrose Homecare Hospice and Nurses.
