LaRue Sherman Barnett

Syracuse – LaRue Sherman Barnett, 82 passed away Monday April 25th 2016 in Layton, Utah.

She was born February 20th 1934 in Ogden to William F. Sherman and Aletta Olive Olsen.  She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.

She married Darrell Elmer Barnett Oct 8th, 1952, in the Salt Lake City Temple.

She was an active member of the LDS church and served an LDS welfare service mission for 18 months.  She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family and spoiling her beloved animals, who were most important to her.

She is survived by her three children, Steven Darrell (Sharon) Barnett, Clearfield, Michael Sherman (Pamela) Barnett, Kaysville, Kari Ann (Ed) Gossett, Willard.  13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, one brother William Sherman, Santa Fe New Mexico, and her 20+ yr. old cat Hazel.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
