Larry C Oyler

August 28, 1940 — October 3, 2024

Larry C. Oyler was born on August 28, 1940, at the old Dee Hospital in Ogden. He was the first-born son of Clayton and Phyllis Oyler. He was raised in Ogden until he was 5 years old. Then his parents moved to California. He lived in Westchester, moved to Torrance, attended Torrance High School, and graduated from Hawthorne Christian School. After high school he worked for Bunswick Security. He always wanted to be a police officer but was able to become a security guard for several companies in California. He loved to listen to his scanner for police activities.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was sealed to his parents in June of 1955.

Larry is survived by his two sisters, Peggy Paulson and Jolene Oyler; his brother, Rick Oyler; one niece, Cindy (Vance) Covington; and three nephews, Heath Oyler, Nathan Oyler, and Nick Oyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

The family would like to thank the North Ogden Police Department for letting Larry ride along once a month on patrol. He loved it! The family would also like to thank the hospice caregivers for assisting Larry in his final days.
