Larene Schenk Wilson, 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She was born in Preston, Idaho, on December 9, 1929, the daughter of Fredrick and Clara Schenk. She graduated from Preston High School.

She married John Wilson on November 9, 1962 in Logan, Utah. They enjoyed 48 years of marriage before John passed away on August 16, 2011.

Larene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in the Primary, the Young Women organization, and many years in the Relief Society. Her favorite calling was serving at Girls Camp where she created many memories for the girls she camped with.

She enjoyed gardening, quilting, fishing, and bowling. Her greatest joy in life came from her family. She took great pleasure in family camp trips and spending time with those she loved. She was a great example to those who knew her. She was always kind, generous and loving. 

Larene is survived by her children, Rick Wilson, Scott (Eraina) Wilson, Leslie (Nathan) Foster; and a daughter-in-law, Jan Wilson. She also has 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, two brothers, five sisters, and many loved in-laws.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
