On February 25, 2026, our beautiful Lacey passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Just days after turning 51, she left this life far too soon, but her love and light will remain with us forever. Lacey was born on Feb 18, 1975, in Ogden to Dennis Wayne and Suzanne P. Krusell. She spent most of her life growing up in Clearfield, Utah. She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1993.
On March 8, 1996, she married the love of her life, John, and they were preparing to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary together — a beautiful milestone that reflects the deep love and commitment they shared.
Lacey possessed the biggest heart. She was selfless, compassionate, and devoted beyond measure to her family. She loved her children fiercely and poured her heart into being a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt.
Lacey’s kindness and generosity touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. Lacey found joy buying/selling/collecting Reborn Dolls, a hobby that kept her happily busy. She treasured time spent with her husband and children, whether playing games, sharing dinners, vacations, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Those everyday moments meant the world to her. The most recent vacation she took with her family, driving to Oregon, was one of her greatest joys.
Lacey is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, John; her precious daughters, Sierra (Devan) and Savannah, her beloved son, Sawyer. She also leaves behind her mother, Suzanne Martinez; her stepfather, John; her sister, Kristen Stone and husband Chris; and her brother, Travis Krusell and wife Cherie. Lacey is also survived by her stepsisters Nikki, Cortnie, Marci Collins (Mitch) and Cristi Millsaps (Richard). Lacey also leaves behind her Nieces and Nephew Brianna McKinney (Eric), Ashley Hermansen (Evan), Brooklynn Stone, Brayden Stone (Ashlie). She was deeply loved by her family, and that love will carry on in each of them.
Lacey also dearly loved her pets, Shasta and Smitty, and especially Cinnamon (Minnie) who were always faithfully by her. We take comfort in knowing she has now been reunited with her beloved father Dennis Krusell, grandparents Vernon and Madge Peterson, Jack and Ida Krusell, and her bonus grandma Ann Stone and beloved pets, Cinnamon and Pugsley, who were waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge. We envision a glorious reunion with all who passed before her.
Our dear Lacey had endured much in her short lifespan. She struggled more than anyone should have to in fighting off cardiac arrest, TBI, melanoma, and most recently brain cancer which finally took her from us. She was a true warrior in fighting for a quality of life over the years she had endured so much hardship. She was so strong and determined to beat all odds and constantly found her way back to being with her family, which meant the world to her. Unfortunately, in the end her heart could take no more. Lacey is truly a special angel.
Our sweet Lacey will be profoundly missed, yet our hearts will forever be filled with the love she gave so freely. She will always be remembered for her warm smile, her sense of humor, her generous spirit, and the kindness she showed to all. May God hold you close, beautiful angel, and watch over those you loved so deeply. Your love lives on in all of us. You are our beautiful angel whose wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
We want to thank her Hospice Nurses Maggie and Kathy for their loving care.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
