Krista Norris, 51, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, after a 15-year battle with breast cancer. She was born on January 26, 1973, in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Michael and Barbara Pickett.
She married Michael Norris on March 20, 1999, in Waxahachie, Texas. They lived in Clear Lake, Texas until 2006 when they moved to Bountiful, Utah, right before the birth of their son, Caleb Norris. Leaving family and friends behind, they trusted God’s plan and found a new community of church and friends in Utah.
Krista worked as a home health speech therapist, primarily working with elderly patients. She enjoyed going to help people in their homes where they were most comfortable. She traveled up and down the Wasatch front from Bountiful to Brigham City to see these patients that she cared for so much.
However, Krista really excelled at being a mother, wife, aunt, and friend to those around her. She poured her time and talents into serving those needs that she saw whether it was at Caleb’s school or at church where she volunteered countless hours with a smile. She always had a clear vision of what was right and fought for it aggressively.
Krista loved to travel, read, and spend time with friends. She especially loved to watch Caleb playing sports whether it was rugby for the South Davis Bison or football for the Bountiful High Redhawks.
Krista will be deeply missed by everyone around her, but we rejoice in an end to her physical suffering and now eternal life spent in Jesus’ presence.
Krista is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Caleb; brother, Adam Pickett; sister-in-law, Stephanie; nieces, Piper and Sadie; nephew, Landry. She left behind her father Michael Pickett, mother-in-law Carrie Norris, father-in-law Richard Norris, and aunt Marsha Doll.
