Krista Lynne Thurman Brimhall September 5, 1955 – December 29, 2025, Eden, Utah Krista Lynne Thurman Brimhall—beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend—passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Krista was born on September 5, 1955, to Basil N. Thurman and Helen L. Thurman in Ogden, Utah. She was raised in Clearfield, Utah, and graduated from Clearfield High School, where she met the love of her life and soulmate, Gordon C. Brimhall, they married on May 11, 1973. Early in their marriage, Krista proudly followed Gordon to Germany, where he served in the U.S. Army, they lived there for three years. Upon returning home, they settled in Clinton before moving to Eden in 1991, where they made their home and built a life filled with family, love, and cherished memories.

Kris had a deep love for the outdoors and treasured time spent with her family. She enjoyed camping, gardening, riding recreational vehicles, and traveling—especially trips with her husband to San Rafael, Utah, and Alaska, where she delighted in watching the Kenai River and her family fishing. Above all else, Kris loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for always having a treat—or a little spending money—for her grandchildren, often as a thank-you for helping her prepare for winter. She made all of these memories with a smile on her face.

Krista will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, kindness, and the genuine love she showed to her husband, children, and all whose lives she touched. She always made time for others and had a genuine way of making everyone feel cared for.

Throughout her life, Kris was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, worked in various roles, and proudly completed her career and retired from Hill Air Force Base.

Krista is survived by her devoted husband, Gordon C. Brimhall; her children, Jody, Jeremy (Heather), and Brian (Michelle); her mother, Helen Thurman; her siblings, Bret (Debbie), Calene (Joi), Mark, and Scott; her grandchildren, Shailee, Taylor (Ethan), Kyler (Braylee), Bryce, Landen, and Braxton; her great-grandchildren, Jettsyn, Asher, Tatum, and Indy; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Julie Murray. She was preceded in death by her father, Basil Thurman, and her Uncle Bob Thurman.

Our family would like to thank her brother Brett Thurman for administering blessings, which gave her great comfort. We would also like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Ogden Regional Hospital for the exceptional care and kindness, and an extra special nurse Laura. Thank you to all of the family and friends for all your prayers and support at this difficult time.
