Kevin L. Rice

Kevin L. Rice, age 69, passed away on July 24, 2025.

Born on January 7, 1956, to Blaine and Marion Rice, Kevin grew up in Ogden, Utah, and attended Ben Lomond High School. He married Sue Jarvis on June 5, 1981. Though they later divorced, they remained close friends and shared a deep bond through their two children, Danielle and Cameron.

Kevin began his career working at Jetway before joining his father at Gardiner and Rice Pest Control, which later became Intermountain Pest Control. He worked alongside his brother Paul, continuing the family business and serving the community with dedication.

He had a passion for life’s simple pleasures—bowling, golfing, sunsets, music, and playing the guitar. Kevin was known for his quick wit, playful sense of humor, and an endless supply of entertaining stories. He had a way of making others laugh and feel welcome wherever he went.

Kevin is survived by his daughter Danielle (Matthew) Higgins, his son Cameron (Keara) Rice, and his cherished granddaughters Hayden and Lilith. He is also survived by his ex-wife and dear friend Sue, one brother, three sisters, and four much-loved granddogs: Diesel, Roxy, Cayde, and Zoey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Marion Rice; his brother Paul Rice; nephews Brandon Rice and John Hutchinson; and great-niece Shaniya Osborne.

No services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be planned and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to share a favorite memory or story of Kevin—he would have loved that.
