GRANDPA

Kevin H. Kent of Taylor returned to his Father in Heaven on Thursday the 20th of March 2014. Kevin is a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. His integrity, work ethic, and kindness are renowned traits that helped him raise his family and build a successful company – GeoDynamics.

Kevin was born in Ogden on September 22, 1957, graduated from Bonneville High School and Weber State University.

He married his eternal companion Judy Robinson on May 24, 1980 in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Kevin is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and left this world as a missionary in every sense. He served a mission in Geneva, Switzerland, held many callings in his ward and stake, and was actively serving with his wife in the Inner City Ogden Mission. His love of family and faith was also accompanied by a passion for gardening, politics, and all things sports.

He will be missed immensely by his family, including his wife, Judy L. Kent; his four children, Stephanie (JD) Tea, Andrea (Shelby) Pierson, Tyler (Brianna) Kent, and Tony (Katie) Kent; his parents, Harry and Janice Kent; mother-in-law, Shirley Robinson; his siblings, Gregg (Kimberly) Kent, Karen (Craig) Golden, and Janalee (Stan) Renshaw; and his pride and joy – his grandchildren, Jonathon, Hannah, Sophie, Ryker, Callan, and Ellie.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Corban Kent; his brother, Doug Kent; and his father-in-law, Tex Robinson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden Utah West Stake Center, 2200 South 4300 West, Taylor. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.
